DHAKA: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on March 25 in the event of corona virus infection.

He was responding to a question from reporters at a press conference on contemporary issues in the conference room of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (March 23rd).

Obaidul Quader said a 500-member committee headed by BMA was formed yesterday on the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to deal with Corona. This committee of doctors will carry out their responsibilities by liaising with the health department or with those in need. In this regard, we will continue to fulfill our responsibilities in collaboration with the Health Sub-Committee.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to protecting the health of the people of the country. He has made all kinds of preparations to deal with this global crisis and has instructed our party as a party. Awareness, proper hygiene can relieve from the terrible crisis. In this crisis, everyone has to deal with the situation with caution, responsibility, humanity and patriotism. Taking it as a war, everyone has to fulfill their responsibilities in dealing with this war. You have to save others by protecting your own safety and life. Everyone has to jump to win this battle.

The bridge minister said more steps have been taken officially to address the Corona situation. In the meanwhile, some very important events of the first year have been canceled in order to restructure the program of Mujibvarsha. Even the special session of Parliament has been adjourned. Besides, all the Independence Day programs on March 26 have been canceled as a party. At the same time, all the programs of the Awami League from the center to the grassroots have been canceled.
